"Mickey & Minnie's Jungle Safari" is the thirty-ninth episode of Mickey Mouse Clubhouse. It originally aired on Playhouse Disney on June 21, 2008, and is the twelfth episode in the second season.
Synopsis[]
Minnie wants to get a picture of the rare Hula Hibiscus to complete her flower photo collection, but she has only one day to get it, as the flower only blooms once a year. She will need help from all her Clubhouse friends to get to where the flower is located.
Plot[]
The episode begins in the Clubhouse with Mickey greeting the viewers and mentioning that the gang is going on a safari, which is an exploring trip to a far away place. They are looking for something very special called the Hula Hibiscus, which Minnie explains is a very rare, one-of-a-kind flower, and It's the only one she needs a picture of to complete her collection. What makes this flower special is that its petals stay closed all year long, but today is the one day of the year that the flower opens its petals and blooms. Mickey and Minnie then go to get a picture of the Hula Hibiscus, and Mickey goes to the Mousekedoer to pick up his Mouseketools: a giant toothbrush, a bag of peanuts, a pair of Pete's big pants, and the Mystery Mouseketool.
Mickey then asks the Mousekedoer the direction to the Hula Hibiscus, and he and Minnie have to follow the river all the way to the jungle and go to the waterfall, which is where they'll find the Hula Hibiscus. Also, Toodles can help Mickey and Minnie double-check the Mousekemap. Mickey then sings about checking the Mousekemap, and according to Toodles, they will start at the river. Once there, Mickey and Minnie meet Goofy and Pluto, followed by Daisy and Donald. Captain Pete then arrives with his Safari Cruise, and after Minnie takes a picture of him, the gang boards the boat before it heads down the river.
Mickey doesn't remember the directions to the Hula Hibiscus, so he calls Toodles for the Mousekemap. The gang has to make it Goofy Rock, which is shaped like Goofy. Mickey mentions that it looks exactly like it does on the Mousekemap, called a landmark. After finding square, circle, and triangle-shaped rocks, the gang finds Goofy Rock. Afterwards, the boat's engine stops, and the boat goes past Goofy Rock. To make the boat stop, a sail is needed, so Mickey calls Toodles for Pete's pants, which is used as a sail to bring the boat back to Goofy Rock.
Once the boat is back at Goofy Rock, the gang continues into the jungle, where they are looking for the Banana Tree. Goofy quickly bumps into it, causing the bananas to fall. Since the bananas are making the path slippery, the gang calls Toodles for the giant toothbrush, used to sweep the bananas away like a broom. Mickey and Minnie try to call Toodles for the Mousekemap, but Toodles is resting on a hammock while listening to music. While Pluto goes to find Toodles, Mickey makes a map that shows the directions to the Hula Hibiscus. Toodles then arrives, showing that after the Banana Tree, the gang has to follow a rainbow-colored path around a sharp turn to the waterfall.
They quickly spot the path, but as they make their way across, a giant elephant blocks their path. So, the gang calls Toodles for the bag of peanuts, which the elephant eats so that they can continue to the waterfall. Once there, they find the Hula Hibiscus at the right end of a rainbow. It then blooms, and Minnie is about to take a picture of it, but can't get close enough without getting wet. To keep her and her camera dry, the gang calls Toodles for the umbrella. Minnie then takes a picture of the Hula Hibiscus, who then dances a hula-dance, which is why it's called the Hula Hibiscus. The gang, including Toodles, then joins in the hula dance before heading back to the Clubhouse while also vowing to come back next year and take more pictures of the Hula Hibiscus. The gang then follows the map backwards and go back the way they came to return to the Clubhouse. Once there, Minnie adores her picture of the Hula Hibiscus, completing her Flower Photo Gallery, before the gang does the Hot Dog Dance. The episode ends with them exiting the Clubhouse as it disappears and Mickey waving goodbye to the viewers.

Trivia[]
- This episode premiered a day after Camp Rock premiered on Disney Channel.
- This is the first episode where one of the characters besides Mickey names one of the Mouseketools.
- This marks the first episode to use a short music video in the ending credits instead of the Mouseketools being recapped. It's also the first episode to feature different background music in the ending credits rather than the usual instrumental version of the Mickey Mouse Clubhouse Theme in the credits.
- Before revealing what the Mystery Mousketool is, Mickey says "All that's left is.." while the others interrupt him by saying the usual summoning line, however, it became extended with just the word "The" before "Mystery". This marks the only episode to do that.
- Before using the 2nd Mousketool (The Giant Toothbrush), Mickey does not say his usual line before cutting straight to the The Sensational Six calling for Toodles after Mickey tells the viewers that they should check what Mousketools they currently have left.
- This is the first of three episodes in the series with two character names in the episode title, with the other two being Minnie and Daisy's Flower Shower and Mickey and Donald Have a Farm.
- It’s also the only one to use the & symbol instead of spelling the word “and” out.
Goofs[]
- When Toodles was called for the last Mouseketool, the surfing variant was used instead of the regular theme.
- After the gang finishes dancing the hula-dance song, Toodles' hat and skirt mysteriously vanish.
End Credits[]
- A reprise of the "Hibiscus Hula" song with Mickey and Minnie.
