"Mickey Monkey" is the twenty-ninth episode of Mickey Mouse. It originally aired on the Disney Channel on November 18, 2014. In this episode, Mickey struggles to get his life back after a mischievous monkey steals his identity.
Plot[]
In a jungle, Minnie, Donald and Goofy are getting ready to go on a boat ride and load all their stuff onto the boat. Goofy and Donald notice that Mickey is taking a long time, so Minnie calls his name loudly. Mickey, from his room, tells them that he's almost ready and puts on his hat while dancing and whistling a tune. Suddenly, he notices a monkey imitating him, which he deems disallowed in the room, but it jumps on the fan, breaks it, and tumbles into Mickey, causing them to swap clothes. The monkey jumps out the window with Mickey's clothes, leaving him naked.
Minnie, Goofy and Donald are happy to see the monkey, thinking it is the Mickey they know due to it wearing his clothes, and allow it to board the boat as it leaves. The real Mickey tries to catch up to his friends and calls out to them, but they, especially Goofy, think that he's a monkey due to his lack of clothes. Mickey runs through the grass, causing a turtle to bite his tail and throw him out over the sailboat and into a spiderweb. Goofy thinks Mickey is a monkey again and notes that he's taking a nap in his hammock. Mickey tries to free himself from the spiderweb, but then a spider appears and puts salt on his toe, causing him to scream in horror.
Mickey Monkey reenacts a scene from Steamboat Willie while Mickey tries to catch up by riding a log, but Mickey Monkey turns the boat around, causing a wave to come towards him and push him away. Suddenly, Mickey gets bitten by bloodsucking worms and panics, which Goofy thinks is dancing. Mickey Monkey plucks something (presumably a bug) off of Minnie's head and eats it (but she doesn't seem to mind). Goofy and Donald clap happily for him and Minnie, thinking that Mickey Monkey is considerate, kisses him, angering Mickey as he pulls the worms out. He runs through the leaves and successfully arrives at the boat, shocking Goofy. Mickey rushes towards Mickey Monkey, but Goofy and Donald grab his tail to protect Mickey Monkey until Mickey releases himself from them and tumbles into Mickey Monkey, causing their clothes to return to normal. The monkey runs out of the boat and jumps into a tree. Mickey's friends, worried about him, ask if he's okay, which he tells them that he is. However, the boat falls down a waterfall and Goofy, Minnie and Donald turn into crocodiles. Mickey, however, isn't scared or startled and just whistles happily.

- This episode celebrates the anniversary of Mickey's first appearance in Steamboat Willie on November 18, 1928. As a commemoration to the short, the episode features a brief homage to Mickey's sailor scene with "Steamboat Bill" being played by Minnie, Goofy and Donald.
- This episode aired on the same day as the Mickey Mouse Clubhouse episode "Mickey's Happy Mousekeday".
- This is the first time Minnie's lipstick mark was shown, unlike other episodes.
- The boat is based on those used on the Jungle Cruise.
- The treehouse at the beginning resembles the Swiss Family Treehouse.
