The Mickey Premium Bar (also known as Mickey Mouse Ice Cream Bar) is a frozen treat commonly sold in the Disney Parks. It can also be ordered in Disney Cruise Line dining.
History[]
As its name suggests, it is a chocolate-coated vanilla ice cream bar designed with the shape of Mickey Mouse's head, commonly found when guests stop by nearby ice cream carts depending on what area they are at. It is one of the most popular desserts found in the Disney Parks.
The frozen treats were first available at the Disney Parks in 1985 as simple round oval-shaped chocolate coated ice cream bars, but they were later given their iconic Mickey head shape in the 1990s.
As part of Mickey Mouse's 90th birthday in 2018, limited edition Mickey Premium Bars are also sold in local grocery stores in 2019 in a box of six ice cream bars, manufactured by Nestlé. Compared to the ones sold at the Disney Parks and Disney Cruise Line, they are much smaller than their regular counterparts.
