Synopsis[]
Mickey camps with Pluto at Friendship Lake but misses his pals. They miss him too and surprise him by showing up for a fun reunion at the campsite.
Plot[]
Mickey and Minnie find Pluto behind a cushion. Mickey has planned for a camping trip near Friendship Lake with Pluto. They first get Mouseketools: a whistle, ribbons, giant wooden spoons, and the Mystery Mousekepal. The rest of the gang help pack the Toon Car. This also includes Little Helper, and they sing the Little Helper song to celebrate his help. Minnie gives Mickey his backpack. As Mickey drives off, he sings a little song. Suddenly, Daisy calls him and reveals that he left Pluto behind; he went back to get his favorite doggie bowl. Mickey quickly returns to pick up Pluto. Mickey continues singing his song. As they drive to the lake, they find the path blocked by a log and call Toodles for the Mystery Mousekepal, revealed to be Lumberjack Hilda, who uses her strength to move the log. After she leaves, the duo continue their journey, but find two roads. According to the map, they must follow the road with the yellow diamond signs. The right path has a blue triangle sign, which is not the right way, but the left road has a yellow diamond sign, which is the right way. They go that way, but find another fork in the road. The sign on the right is a yellow square, so not the right way. They take the left path since it has a yellow diamond sign.
After reaching Friendship Lake, they set up camp. Pluto takes out his doggie bowl, but Mickey explains that it isn't meal time yet. After some struggles with setting up the tent, Mickey wishes that Minnie was here as she's good at setting up tents. The wind nearly blows the tent away, so they call Toodles for the ribbons, which they use to tie the tent down. They decide to go fishing next, but discover that the boat has no oars. They call Toodles for the giant spoons, which Mickey uses as oars. After Mickey catches a fish, Pluto sees a squirrel and goes to play with it. Mickey tries to get a picture of the fish, but loses it. He returns to shore and tries to call Pluto, but he can't hear Mickey. He calls Toodles for the whistle, which brings Pluto back. They prepare to eat, to which Mickey wishes that Daisy was here since she's good at cooking. Without being called, Toodles appears again to inform Mickey and Pluto of rain, so they have to take shelter in the tent.
Mickey isn't happy that their trip isn't going as planned. Looking inside his backpack, he discovers that Daisy had packed a lantern that works like a disco ball, Goofy had packed a harmonica and a ball for Pluto, Minnie had packed Duffy, and Donald had packed a picture of him and his friends at the clubhouse. When Mickey and Pluto get out of the tent, the rain has stopped and they see a shiny star once the clouds clear away, and Mickey sings “Twinkle, Twinkle, Little Star”. After they go to sleep for the night, they wake up the next morning to find that their friends are all here, including Little Helper, having traveled here on the camper. Mickey is glad to see them. Daisy cooks food for everyone, Donald and Goofy scramble to catch the food after it is sent flying, Little Helper serves out food, and Minnie makes muffins. The gang sings a final song, and the episode ends with Donald taking a selfie of him and everyone.
