Mickey and the Seagull is a short originally featured in the eighteenth episode of Mickey Mouse Works (later repeated in the twenty-third episode). It was later seen in the House of Mouse episode "Donald Wants to Fly".
Synopsis[]
Each tugboat in the fleet is assigned a seagull from the flock. Even Mickey, who gets a replacement gull, whom is rather dimwitted, when his regular one is wheelchair-bound following an accident caused by the replacement gull. However, since the seagull couldn't fly as well as the others, he resorts to using a floatie to accomplish the task of accompanying tugboat Mickey. Despite his numerous obstacles along the way, such as getting eaten by a shark, the seagull successfully directs tugboat Mickey to safety when a heavy thunderstorm breaks loose at sea.

- The lead seagull bears a slight resemblance to Donald Duck.
- It is unknown what the featured music in this cartoon is and whether it's a familiar classical piece. One thing to notice is Mickey's Mouse Works theme is used when Mickey comes into the picture.
