In 2018, as part of the Pixar Playtime event, it received a very simple Coco overlay in the form of a mural of characters from the film, though the restaurant otherwise has nothing to do with the film and the restaurant's namesake is an original character.
Summary[]
The El Dorado Cantina was established by a man named Miguel who came to Lost River Delta seeking El Dorado, the legendary Lost City of Gold. He never found it, but he had come to love the jungle so much that he decided to settle down and open a place where adventurers of all sorts could take a rest while seeking their own treasures.
This quirky themed restaurant overlooks the river with ample seating both inside and out, which is perfect for those hot summer days or cool winter nights. Staying true to the Aztec theme, Miguel's hits all the right notes when it comes to the decor and atmosphere. Decorations are lavish and full of color, which are spread throughout the restaurant. The best decorations are in the seating areas on the top floor, and on the outside, especially during the Christmas season.
