Miguel José Ferrer was an American actor and voice actor who was known for his distinctive raspy voice and villainous roles, including OCP Executive Robert "Bob" Morton in the 1987 sci-fi action film RoboCop, Dr. Garret Macy on the NBC crime drama series Crossing Jordan from 2001 to 2007, and Felix Valdez on the Lifetime drama series The Protector in 2011. He also voiced Big Boss in Blue Sky's Rio 2.

He was also George Clooney's cousin on his mother's side.

For Disney, he was best known for voicing Shan Yu in the 1998 Disney animated feature film, Mulan and Delgado in the direct-to-DVD comedy films Beverly Hills Chihuahua 2 and Beverly Hills Chihuahua 3 (replacing Andy Garcia). He also voiced Antaeus in the Hercules episode "Hercules and the Hostage Crisis".

Additionally, he played Carl Quigley in the 1994 film, Blank Check, Ortega Peru in the 1997 comedy film, Mr. Magoo, Andre Zeller in Desperate Housewives, Tony Castellano in Another Stakeout, Vice President Rodriguez in the 2013 Marvel action film, Iron Man 3, and Special Agent Albert Rosenfield in the ABC drama series Twin Peaks.

Ferrer died of throat cancer at the age of 61, three weeks before his 62nd birthday.
