"Minnie's Yoo Hoo" was first performed by Mickey Mouse in the short, Mickey's Follies. The song was written and composed by Carl W. Stalling and has since been performed in On the Record. It then became the theme song of the Mickey Mouse theatrical cartoons from 1929 to 1933 (Wild Waves to Mickey's Mellerdrammer). It was also shown being played on a phonograph in the comic strip storyline "Mr. Slicker and the Egg Robbers".

The song was later used as the credits theme for The Mouse Factory.

A re-orchestrated instrumental version was used as the opening theme to Mickey Mouse Works.

Mickey sung the song again, with extremely modified lyrics, in the series finale of the House of Mouse titled "Mickey and the Culture Clash", where he and Minnie referred to it as their song.

An instrumental version of the song can be heard in the Mickey Mouse episode "Eau de Minnie" as Minnie was "la-laaing" to it while walking on her way to her date with Mickey. Also, in the episode "Bottle Shocked", the song can briefly be heard as a ringtone on Mickey's cell phone.
