Mira is the titular protagonist of the Disney Jr. animated series Mira, Royal Detective. She is a brave and resourceful commoner, who becomes the royal detective after solving a mystery that saved the kingdom's young prince. As the royal detective, Mira travels throughout the kingdom helping royals and commoners alike, and will stop at nothing to solve the case.

Physical appearance

Mira has olive skin, a black mole, hazel eyes, and long black hair. She is around 8-9 years of age. Her outfit is a blue dress, magenta pants, pink earrings, and blue shoes. She wears a gold magnifying glass.

Personality

Mira is a kind, brave and intelligent girl, and she's willing to help with any case that comes her way whether it's searching for a missing bicycle or the reason for something strange to happen, she’s always on the case. When it comes to solving a case, she's not one to jump to conclusions, and she won't come to a conclusion until she gets all the facts.

• Mira's mother is first mentioned in "The Great Diwali Mystery", and it's hinted that she passed away prior to the series.
• It has not been shown how Mira became the Royal Detective.
• The name Mira has various meanings in different languages. In Sanskrit, it means "Ocean" or "Sea", in Hindi it means "Leader" or "Chief", while other languages such as Latin and Greek have it mean "Wonderful". Interestingly, in Spanish, Mira means "he/she looks", which is very fitting for the character.
