"Mission Pets One" is the second segment of the fifty-fifth episode of Miles from Tomorrowland. It premiered on October 16, 2017 alongside "The Great Space Train Robbery", and is the second segment of the first episode in the third season.
Plot[]
In the activity room, Miles meets the Mission Force One robot pets, with M.E.R.C. as the coach. He mentions the training course for them looking galactic as well as being galactic to have them help out on missions, and gives the robot pets, who think they have what it takes, thirty seconds to show him what they've been working on.
However, the robot pets find it harder than expected, and Miles tells them that although training is hard work, they'll get the hang of it if they remember one thing: use the skills that make them special. Mastering the skills they have will get them mission ready. Zeno then informs Miles about a call from Admirals Watson and Crick.
Once at the bridge, Mission Force One are given a new mission: a charging station on Planet Palamedes has mysteriously turned off. Unless the ships charge up on Palamedes, they will run out of power. Miles accepts the mission. However, Earth is in the opposite direction of Palamedes, and Mission Force One needs to do a supply run. Miles decides for him and the robot pets to go on the mission while the others do a supply run. Miles then says the team's signature catchphrase, but says "Pets" instead of "Force", and activates his recruit suit's mission mode while the robot pets show off their skills.
Miles and the robot pets take Miles' space jet to Palamedes, but the space jet crashes on the planet after being hit with a shutdown beam. The robot pets assure Miles that they're all right, and everyone decides to take cover.
At the charging station, Nemesystems Nemetron ZB33287 informs the defense orbs that the Mission Force One vessel has been brought down, and tells them to search for the crew. Miles tries to call the Zenith, but it is out of Questcom range. M.E.R.C. then sees a Nemesystems defense orb, leading to Miles stating that Nemesystems is trying to take over the colony of TTA ships on their way to Palamedes, making the mission harder. Miles tells the robot pets that they need to take the charging station back from Nemesystems, and they're all helping. However, the robot pets are a bit scared, so M.E.R.C. chases them to Miles.
Miles then sees a giant shutdown cannon, which is what shut down the space jet. It is also revealed that the charging station's electricity is being redirected to power the cannon. The nemetron informs the striker bots and defense orbs that the Mission Force One infiltrators are on the move, and to stop them. While the other robot pets run away, Miles and M.E.R.C. deactivate all of the striker bots.
Miles decides to see what's going on at the charging station, and uses his audio boost to understand what the nemetron is saying to Commander Nemex. The nemetron says that the occupants of the Mission Force One space jet have not been found, but they've been taking down the defense orbs and striker bots. With the TTA convoy minutes away, Nemesystems plans to stop them with the shutdown cannon, claim them for Nemesystems, and move out before they can be stopped by Mission Force One. Nemex and Aggro expect nothing less than success.
Miles tells the robot pets that they need to retake the station from Nemesystems before the convoy arrives. Although the robot pets are scared, they get motivated when Miles gives a speech about no challenge being too hard if they put their mind to it, and also states that if they keep their eyes clear and their hearts full, they can't lose. The nemetron then notices Miles and his robot pets, stating that they're becoming quite an annoyance.
Mission Pets One then charges towards the station, and uses their different skills to deactivate all of the defense orbs and striker bots. With seconds until the shutdown cannon fires, Miles decides to use his pulse ray to redirect it. It works, as the cannon fires itself away from the charging station and destroys itself, re-powering the charging station. The nemetron informs Nemex and Aggro of such, and Nemex and Aggro tell him that his failure is noted. With one ship fully charged afterwards, Miles says that that is mission accomplished.
Back at the Zenith, Miles tells the rest of Mission Force One the good news: the robot pets are more than fit to serve with the team.
