"Montaged" is the second segment of the seventy-fourth episode of Big City Greens.
Synopsis[]
Cricket fast-tracks his training for a rodeo and gets trapped in a never-ending montage.
Plot[]
The Greens are visiting the rodeo to witness sheep riders. Cricket excitedly wants to ride the sheep just like the other kids, but Bill tells him that that would be impossible as it takes years of practice to master riding a sheep. Cricket impatiently wishes he could ride one until Remy points out that the only he could is if life were like a montage from the movies wherein a person starts off being bad at something, only to get better through the use of editing. Cricket suggests that they try it for real and he, Remy and Tilly set out to create a montage like environment. After only a minute, Cricket gets on the sheep and is immediately launched head first into a sign.
When Cricket awakens, he concludes that the reason why it did not work was because only a minute passed and that he did not high five Remy at the end and decides to go through it again. When he goes through the montage, he suddenly finds time restarting to the beginning every time he high fives. Tilly and Remy inform him that they are stuck in a montage and that Cricket would need to understand quantum mechanics in order to get out of it. They switch to a science montage, but gets them stuck in a loop again. Cricket decides to relax and end up in a relaxing montage, only for Cricket to anger a pedestrian and he goes into a fight training montage.
Every minor mistake he makes results in Cricket accidentally sending himself, Remy and Tilly into another montage that moves quicker and quicker until Cricket ends up in a void that plays all his montages simultaneously on screens. They form into an image of Bill who tells Cricket that he needs to practice and Cricket realizes that being impatient is what got him into this mess. He suddenly wakes up after having hit is head on the sign, revealing that the past events have been a dream, and Cricket decides to hop on the sheep again. He gets tossed off more than once, but notices a slight improvement. Cricket goes in to high five Remy, only to remember what happened as the episode abruptly ends.

Trivia[]
- Running gag: Every time when Cricket is done with the montage, it repeats over and over again.
- Two montage scenes are references to Star Wars and Ratatouille.
- The plot of the episode is similar to Christmas...Again?!, where both main characters do not want to do something slowly, but they decide to speed things up but get worse.
- It's also similar to the first segment of Mickey's Once Upon a Christmas, "Stuck on Christmas".
- Foreshadowing: When Cricket gets thrown into the wall and hits his head, only Tilly and Remy come to his aid but Bill and Gramma don't; this gives a hint that the endless montages were a dream, as they do come to Cricket's aid when he wakes up.
- Moral: Don't take shortcuts; things get better with time.
