"Moonstruck" is the thirty-fifth episode of PJ Masks. It premiered on April 20, 2018, and is the ninth episode in the second season.

Synopsis

Part 1: Race to the Moon

Catboy, Owlette, and Gekko lifts off to the moon to prevent Luna Girl from improving her Luna Magnet powers thanks to the bright harvest moon. But Gekko is afraid of the unknown and fears to travel to space.

Part 2: Lunar Fortress

While Catboy and Owlette attempt to stop Luna Girl from improving her powers in space, they get imprisoned and can only rely on Gekko, who stayed at their spaceship, to save the day.

Trivia

• This is the first hour-length episode in the series.
• Luna Girl's Luna Magnet transforms into a Luna Wand.
• The scene where Luna Girl throws energy balls (or attacks) makes a small reference to the Japanese Game of category "Danmaku" Touhou Project.
• At the beginning of the episode, there is an animation error where Amaya doesn't have eyelashes and when the PJ Masks transform they appear again.
• It is revealed that Luna Girl is not a human.
• The Luna Wand that Luna Girl has is inspired by a similar object in the anime Sailor Moon.
