Br'er Possum and Br'er Raccoon get into trouble when Br'er Rabbit tries to warn them about being on the lookout for Mr. Dog who is on the loose, terrorizing other civilians. Br'er Possum seems to laugh it off and says "he'd swing that bully by the tail if he could." As they continued walking, it turned out that Mr. Dog was closer than they thought when they run into him and was cornered when he believed that one of them spoke his name and was ready to teach them some manners. Br'er Possum faints before Mr. Dog can touch him, but he still has eyes on Br'er Raccoon.
Mr. Dog continues to threaten Br'er Raccoon by hearing they are known to bite, seeing if he is willing to fight him or give up immediately. The small creature then bites onto his jacket, tearing it into Mr. Dog threw him hard into the tree until he was knocked out. Somehow, Br'er Fox shows up and has the urge to eat the little guys that seem to have lost the fight to Mr. Dog due to their overconfidence. It turns out that Mr. Dog had no intentions of eating the two, as Br'er Fox thinks he did.
Mr. Dog only had the intention of making the little guys suffer by teaching them a lesson, believing he succeeded. But it turns out that Br'er Raccoon somehow gained consciousness and sneaked away from Mr. Dog and can use a rock to knock him out before he can finish off Br'er Possum, who wakes up and thinks they did a good job. Yet actions speak louder than words as Br'er Raccoon insists on now walking back home, yet words from Br'er Possum make him snap out till he lies in defense mode on the ground, leaving Br'er Rabbit wondering what just happened by the time they meet up with him again.
