Mr. Winthorp is a character from the 2020 Disney+ original film Black Beauty.
Background[]
Mr. Winthorp serves as the husband of Mrs. Winthorp, mother of George and Georgina. Aside from the social gathering he hosts with his wife, he is shown to be social to her often watching his children George and Georgina training and getting ready for races. However, he is shown to be worried of Georgina's pressure to Black Beauty, unaware of the selfishness she is causing to her.
Role in the film[]
Mr. Winthorp is first seen sitting next to his wife watching his son George riding on Ginger as he trains her to help win the race hosting a social gathering. He later stares at Jo Green who is fraternizing George to help him win the race, which he manages to do so. After George wins, he and his wife witness Georgina readying herself for the race while riding on Black Beauty. Georgina's parents later notice their daughter who fell off Beauty during the race, which Georgina's father is furious of her for putting herself and Beauty in danger. Mr. Winthorp's wife later sold Beauty to a ranger named Terry, followed by Beauty facing many challenges before reuniting with Jo. Mr. Winthorp does not appear again throughout the rest of the film.

- Mr. Winthorp is the only member of the Winthorp family whose actor, Patrick Lyster, was not credited in the "Starring Cast" section of the credits, despite his small amount of screen time.
