"Mummy First Mate" is the first second segment of the one hundred and ninth episode of Jake and the Never Land Pirates. It premiered on July 11, 2016 alongside "Beardini's Apprentice", and is the second segment of the fourteenth episode in the fourth season.
Plot[]
At the Pirate Mummy's tomb, Jake and his crew meet the Pirate Mummy and enlist his help on a desert treasure hunt. Just then, the Pirate Pharaoh and Otaa arrive. The Pirate Pharaoh wants the Pirate Mummy to be his first mate, as the Pirate Mummy is the only other mummy in the Pirate Pharaoh's kingdom. They plan to find the Luxor Elixir, a powerful potion said to hold mammoth magic. It can help the Pirate Pharaoh build the biggest pyramid the Never Desert has ever seen. The Pirate Mummy decides to pass, to the anger of the Pirate Pharaoh. Jake and his crew decide to tag along, which the Pirate Pharaoh accepts.
The Pirate Mummy is glad Jake and his crew are tagging along. Captain Hook and Mr. Smee know that they will lead them to treasure, and Captain Hook decides to take the Luxor Elixir and its mammoth magic for himself. Captain Hook and Mr. Smee then follow Jake's crew across the Never Desert. Cubby reads his map, stating that they're at the Plain of Popping Palms, which is dangerous. It's called that way because its palm trees appear from out of the sand. Captain Hook and Mr. Smee quickly get sent up by a palm tree. Meanwhile, Jake's crew get past the plain, but Cubby tells them to stop; they have arrived at the Shimmering Mirage Sinkhole. The Pirate Pharaoh doesn't see it, but Izzy knows that Cubby's map is never wrong. Jake proves that a sinkhole exists, angering the Pirate Pharaoh, who is about to use his crook and flail on the Pirate Mummy when Jake stops him. Izzy uses her Pixie Dust for the ship to fly across the sinkhole. Captain Hook and Mr. Smee get past the sinkhole with their wagon's wings.
Meanwhile, Jake's crew arrive at the obelisk, which is where the elixir is located. As the Pirate Pharaoh attempts to shatter the monument, Jake tells him about an easier way. The Pirate Mummy knows that there is a secret panel or a door. He finds a secret panel in the form of his great-uncle Khufu's nose. The Pirate Pharaoh then shoves the Pirate Mummy aside before retrieving the Luxor Elixir for himself. The Pirate Mummy takes the green antidote, which was also inside the panel, before following Jake's crew away.
Captain Hook and Mr. Smee notice this and follow Jake's crew. Captain Hook then takes the Luxor Elixir for himself, and the Pirate Pharaoh uses his crook and flail to make sand block Captain Hook and Mr. Smee's path. Captain Hook pours the Luxor Elixir on himself, making him grow large. He picks up Mr. Smee before taking the Pirate Pharaoh's ship. Skully and Otaa stop Captain Hook by flying around him and scratching his left arm. Captain Hook then drops the ship before the Pirate Pharaoh uses his crook and flail on him to no avail. The Pirate Mummy then shows Jake the antidote he got, stating that it can undo the mammoth magic. The Pirate Mummy and Jake tie Captain Hook's legs together before Skully brings the wrapping to the Pirate Pharaoh's ship. Captain Hook falls on the Pirate Pharaoh's construction site, almost crushing his pyramid model. Mr. Smee drops the Luxor Elixir on the model, making it grow into an actual pyramid, the largest ever. The Pirate Mummy then throws the antidote to Captain Hook, who returns to his normal size before sliding down the pyramid with Mr. Smee. The Pirate Pharaoh is pleased with the pyramid and the Pirate Mummy. He claims that it will be the first of many adventures they have together, but the Pirate Mummy claims he's not cut out for the job. It doesn't matter to the Pirate Pharaoh, who has the greatest pyramid of all time, which is good enough for him.
Jake and his crew return to Pirate Island to put the gold doubloons they collected into their Team Treasure Chest. Meanwhile, Captain Hook tells Mr. Smee that it was the worst treasure hunt ever and never wants to see a popping palm or a shimmering sinkhole again. Just then, a popping palm sends Captain Hook back into the sinkhole. Mr. Smee hopes Captain Hook finds treasure at the bottom of the sinkhole.
