"Mummy Mayhem" is the second segment of the fourth episode of Vampirina. It premiered on October 6, 2017 alongside "The Plant Predicament".

Plot[]

The ghost toast is ready, and Oxana informs Vampirina of such. Vampirina then quickly heads to the kitchen, and while eating, she states that today is field trip day at school. She tells Oxana and Boris about a field day, and Gregoria and Demi say that they're going to the Natural History Museum. Vampirina, Gregoria, and Demi tell what the museum has, including the great Egyptian mummy King Pepi. Oxana says that she and Boris met King Pepi on their honeymoon in Egypt. They mention that he's in a new exhibit at the museum. Oxana states that he is just loving all the attention from the visitors. Just then, Poppy rings the doorbell, and Vampirina quickly goes to school.

Once at the museum, Mr. Gore shows everyone its artifacts. Edgar sees that the next exhibit is dinosaurs. Once the class is there, Bridget says that the mummy she sees is old and spooky. Poppy assumes that there's nothing alive inside there, but the mummy blinks. It then opens and King Pepi appears. He is then introduced to Poppy, Vampirina, and Bridget. Vampirina says that Poppy and Bridget like the nice monsters. Pepi states that he's also nice, and is delighted to see Vampirina. Pepi then states that ever since he got in the museum, no one cared about him, as they were interested in seeing the dinosaurs. He then sings a song about bringing artifacts in the museum for everyone to see and how he is ignored. Pepi says that the dinosaurs have bigger teeth than he does. Vampirina knows a thing to cheer him up: a trip to her house for dinner with some old friends. This excites Pepi, who hasn't had a home-cooked meal in centuries.

To get the mummy home without anyone noticing, Vampirina, Poppy, and Bridget decide to dress up as Pepi so no one notices. Once home, Pepi is greeted by Gregoria, Demi, Oxana, and Boris. Vampirina is told by Boris and Oxana that it's okay to bring souvenirs from the museum, but it usually doesn't include an actual mummy. However, King Pepi is feeling sad, as no one stops to see his exhibit at the museum, as they are more interested in dinosaurs. Oxana and Boris thank Poppy, Bridget, and Vampirina for helping cheer up Pepi. Everyone then decides to cheer up Pepi.

Vampirina, Bridget, and Poppy serve Pepi food. He likes it, and smells shriek-loaf and spook potatoes for dinner. That's what he made them back in Egypt. Pepi is then escorted to the dinner table. There, he likes the dinner, and Vampirina states that there is another surprise for Pepi. Vampirina, Poppy, and Bridget then dress up as mummies and dance to music with everyone joining in. Afterwards, the doorbell sounds, and Edgar appears. He shows the news that King Pepi has gone missing, but Vampirina doesn't think anyone took him. Edgar decides to help the search team. Vampirina decides to pull the wrap on the mummy party. Pepi thanks everyone for being that loved, as that hasn't happened to him in centuries. He decides to stay in the home forever and not return to the museum. However, he states that he asked his loyal subjects to begin his search for his replacement. More mummies then arrive, and Pepi joins in. Bridget wonders if Pepi knew how much everybody does actually miss him. Vampirina likes the idea, and Poppy has her brother to help out.

Pepi and Gregoria then grade the different mummies when Vampirina, Bridget, and Poppy appear and tell him that his room is ready. Poppy, Bridget, and Vampirina show Pepi about everyone searching for him. Pepi realizes that everyone cares about him, and thanks everyone for the help. He finally decides to go back to the museum. Vampirina states that everybody needs a little reminder sometimes about how important they are. In the museum, Vampirina says that other kids get to enjoy King Pepi, and Oxana and Boris join in. They say that it is nice to know everything is back where it should be. Edgar decides to take some pictures of Pepi, stating that he is way cooler than the dinosaurs.
