"My Strongest Suit" is the fourth song from the concept album, Elton John and Tim Rice's Aida. The song is sung by the Spice Girls.

Princess Amneris explained her wardrobe minded philosophy, as her handmaidens helped prepare her for the royal banquet, and putting on a veritable fashion show in the process.

After the grand banquet, Amneris, in a moment of quiet reflection let down her guard while with Aida. Revealing her beauty and fashionable ways to be the perfect mask of her fears of her father's failing health and her own insecurities. Unknown to Amneris, Aida was able to relate to the pressures of being a princess, and offered her own philosophy and words of comfort to Amneris and a true friendship began to blossom between the two.

Overwear, underwear, anytime, anywhere
Overwear, underwear, anytime, anywhere

Now I believe in looking
Like my time on Earth is cooking
Whether polka dotted, striped or even checked

With some glamour guaranteeing
Every fiber of my being
Is displayed to quite remarkable effect

From your cradle via trousseau
To your death bed you're on view, so
Never compromise, accept no substitute

I would rather wear a barrel
Than conservative apparel
Because dress has always been my strongest suit

Overwear, underwear, anytime, anywhere
Overwear, underwear, anytime, anywhere

Staying in or hitting townwards
From the top and working downwards
I ensure that every stitch is stitched in time

Whether wig or hat or turban
Whether clad boudoir or urban
Not to strut your stuff outrageously's a crime

And the few who are invited
To my wardrobe are delighted
As they wander through my things to find en route

That in negligee or formal
I am anything but normal
Because dress has always been my strongest suit

Overwear, underwear, anytime, anywhere
Overwear, underwear, anytime, anywhere
Overwear, underwear, anytime, anywhere
Overwear, underwear, anytime, anywhere

Now you don't need a recital
Of the reasons why it's vital
That tonight my trappings will not be subdued

That from coronet to sandal
No one else is worth a candle
That I couldn't make more impact in the nude

So bring me all my finest
Most audacious, my divine-ist
Most revealing, most expensive and taboo

Most arresting, most heart-stopping
Most free flowing, most eye popping
Because dress has always been my strongest suit

Overwear, underwear, anytime, anywhere
Overwear, underwear, anytime, anywhere
Overwear, underwear, anytime, anywhere
Overwear, underwear, anytime, anywhere

Overwear, underwear, anytime, anywhere
(Dress has always been, dress has always been)
Overwear, underwear, anytime, anywhere
(Dress has always been my strongest suit)

Overwear, underwear, anytime, anywhere
(My strongest suit)
Overwear, underwear, anytime, anywhere

Overwear, underwear, anytime, anywhere
(Strongest suit, strongest suit)
Overwear, underwear, anytime, anywhere
(Dress has always been my strongest suit)

Overwear, underwear, anytime, anywhere
Overwear, underwear, anytime, anywhere
(Dress has always been my strongest suit)

Overwear, underwear, anytime, anywhere
Overwear, underwear, anytime, anywhere...

Amneris: In life one has to face a huge assortment
Of nauseating fads and good advice
There's health and fitness
Diet and deportment

And other pointless forms of sacrifice
Conversation? Wit? I am a doubter
Manners? Charm? They're no way to impress
So forget the inner me, observe the outer
I am what I wear and how I dress

Oh now I believe in looking
Like my time on earth is cooking
Whether polka dotted
Striped or even checked
With the some glamour guaranteeing
Every fiber on of my being
Is displayed to quite remarkable effect

From your cradle via trousseau (Ah)

As I race through a succession
Of the latest crazes, chase the newest fad
I feel better when beguiling
Find that fashion keeps me smiling
But in my heart I know it's rather sad

Aida: That a life of great potential
Is dismissed, inconsequential

Amneris: And only ever seen as being cute
So I'll flutter to deceive

Aida: Oh no you must believe
That one day you're bound to find

Both: A stronger suit
