"Nanpire the Great" is the first segment of the fourteenth episode of Vampirina. It premiered on December 1, 2017 alongside "Two Heads Are Better Than One".
Plot[]
Vampirina tells Oxana if Nanpire is here yet, and Oxana says any minute. Oxana is dusting, as Nanpire loves a fine layer of dust. Boris mentions that this is the first time Nanpire is coming to visit the Hauntleys in Pennsylvania. Oxana says that she is the sweetest vampire in the world when she arrives. However, the Hauntleys don't see anything. Moments later, Nanpire arrives via a poof, and is delighted to see the Hauntleys. She mentions her big entrance. Gregoria and Demi are also delighted to see her. Gregoria says that they're always here to help out. Oxana tells Vampirina to show Nanpire what she needs her help with for school tomorrow.
Vampirina says that the upcoming school event is a potluck, which is a human tradition where every student brings in a different recipe to school. Nanpire says that it make sends. She can help by making one of her famous vampire recipes, that being the one she always makes back in Transylvania, ghoulash soup. Poppy then arrives, as she wanted to meet Nanpire. Vampirina tells her how she appears and that Nanpire wants to make the vampire dish for the potluck together, although Vampirina doesn't remember how to make it. She doesn't want Nanpire to think that all this time in Pennsylvania has made her forget about the vampire traditions they used to share. Vampirina says that she'll remember the vampire recipe as she goes.
She then stirs the pot thirteen times after being reminded by Nanpire. As the next ingredient is added, Nanpire says that ghoulash soup is a magic, ice-cold soup that's perfect for warm weather. All that's left is to let the magic cook overnight. Vampirina says that the soup needs to be served not too soon and not too late. It has to be cooked exactly the right amount of time. Vampirina and Poppy are all ready for tomorrow. Nanpire tells Demi that when Vampirina needs some help, he may need to come with her to school in the morning.
At school the next day, Vampirina and Poppy are impressed by the different kinds of food. Bridget arrives and is told by Vampirina and Poppy about their recipes for the potluck. When Vampirina opens the bin for her ghoulash soup, its magic freezes everyone except for Demi, Poppy, and Vampirina. This is because Vampirina opened the soup to soon, as its magic did not finish cooking all the way. Vampirina tries to use the faucet for warm water to no avail. Nanpire then arrives, and Vampirina tells her everything that happened, including not remembering how to make the recipe. Vampirina says that she didn't want Nanpire to think that she forgot about their vampire traditions. Nanpire could never be disappointed, and since Vampirina lives in Pennsylvania, she will learn all kinds of human things. Nanpire is here to remind her of the old ways. They are family, and Vampirina can tell Nanpire the truth, no matter what. They then sing a song about being family, no matter what.
Vampirina thanks Nanpire for it. Demi is crying about it. To thaw everyone, Nanpire knows a potion that will warm everything up. It will even cook all the magic in the ghoulash soup so it's ready to eat. After Vampirina and Poppy help and once a scream-berry is added, everything in the classroom thaws out. Vampirina and Nanpire then decide to serve the soup together, just like they used to do back home. Bridget introduces himself to Nanpire, who then serves everyone ghoulash soup. Bridget likes it, and all of the other students want it, which is why Nanpire made an extra batch. Vampirina and Nanpire love each other.
