"Nick Scouts" is the second segment of the one hundred-fifth episode of Big City Greens.
Synopsis[]
Nick creates a fake scouting troop to trick Cricket and Tilly into raising money for him.
Plot[]
Nick is lazily watching TV when it suddenly goes out. Shortly afterwards, a Bramblebee Scout arrives selling cookies, whom Nick treats indifferently and later angrily when she asks for $10 for a box. Nancy politely pays the girl and scolds Nick for his insensitivity. Nick views it at a scam as he thinks $10 is too much for a box. Nancy leaves Nick in charge of looking after Cricket and Tilly and gets an idea to make money so that he cane get a new TV. He tells Cricket and Tilly that he "forgot" to sign them up to be Bramblebee Scouts and then, pathetically, has them becomes their own personal Nick Scouts instead.
Nick repackages the Bramblebee Scout cookies and raises the price. He then forces Cricket and Tilly to sell them in hastily thrown together uniforms. Cricket and Tilly actually manage to sell all the cookies, much to Nick's delight, but to Nancy's anger as she knows it is a scam. Cricket and Tilly further reveal that they recruited more members to the Nick Scouts including Lupita and Wayne and that they plan to use the money to buy better uniforms. Nick is flummoxed, but decides to take them hiking to Devil's Peak, in the hopes of getting rid of them. As they hike, everyone starts having fun, except for Nick who is falling behind.
Upon arriving at Devil's Peak, Nancy thanks Nick for helping the kids and bringing them together for the scouts. Nick instead gets angry, admitting that the whole thing was a scam and that he wanted to use the money for himself. As he attempts to flee, the scouts use their skills (from a animal trapping magazine that Nick labeled as the official guidebook) and gets chased down by the scouts, ultimately getting captured. Nick relents and admits that his plan didn't work out. To make up for it, Cricket and Tilly force Nick to dress up in the old uniforms and go door to door to give everyone refunds. Cricket and Tilly admit that this is better than watching TV.
