Trivia[]
- This is a subtle spoof on the term "couch potato" in which the Muddlefoots are so "zombified" that they just stare at a motionless TV test signal.
- Duane's eyes change color in one scene in the truck.
- This episode is the first time that Bushroot attempts to make a friend.
- Bushroot is shown to be immune to Darkwing's gas gun attack, because he is a plant and doesn't breathe as animals do.
- A rare plot twist where being told to say something backwards means literally saying "[blank] backwards". Darkwing needed to spray Posie with pollen and say "potato backwards."
- The title is a pun on the title of the 1968 horror movie "Night of the Living Dead".
- This is the first appearance of Herb and Binkie Muddlefoot and their son Tank.
- The shot of Bushroot gasping when he saw what appeared to be Darkwing and Posie kissing is used in the opening.
Goofs[]
- During the story's narration to the scouts, Darkwing talks about Drake Mallard. Wouldn't this reveal his identity?
