"Nobody Gets the Fleece" is the fourteenth episode of the Disney+ series Percy Jackson and the Olympians. It was released on January 7, 2026, and is the sixth episode of season two.
Synopsis[]
Percy and Annabeth go undercover on an island to rescue their friends.
Plot[]
Following the destruction of the Ironclad, Tyson is revealed to have survived thanks to his godly parent being Poseidon. Elsewhere, Percy has a nightmare that he is back at Camp Half-Blood with all the campers scattered on the floor, before he is confronted by Thalia who hits him with a lightning bolt. Upon awakening, Annabeth reminds him that they need to grab the Golden Fleece and be cautious of Polyphemus who has both Clarisse and Grover tied up in his cave.
While Percy scouts the cave, Annabeth checks on the sheep where she gets an Iris message from Luke. He warns her about Polyphemus, but she scolds him as he simply wants the Fleece for his own malicious purpose. Percy interrupts them just as Polyphemus arrives. The two demigods disguise themselves as sheep and follow uphill towards the sky entrance of the cave. In the tree above, the Golden Fleece lays. Percy goes down to rescue Clarisse and Grover while Annabeth grabs the Fleece. She soon realizes that the Fleece is fake and that it is a trap.
Polyphemus returns and traps Percy in his cave with the others while Annabeth distracts the cyclops. Luke arrives via a portal and quickly discovers the fake Fleece too. Within the cave, Grover manages to find the real Fleece, but her, Percy, and Clarisse fail to escape. Trapped behind a boulder blocking their exit, Polyphemus whacks Annabeth and severely injures her. Tyson arrives and fights Polyphemus, knocking both him and himself off a cliff. As Luke arrives, Percy has no choice, but to give the Fleece to him who uses it on Annabeth, but carries her and the Fleece away.
Tyson returns, telling Percy that Polyphemus will not bother him again, as the brothers share a heartfelt reunion. The group chase after Luke, only to discover that he has already fled via the boat. Tyson reveals an alternative method and summons Hippocampi, water horses created by Polyphemus. The group vow to rescue Annabeth.

Book comparisons[]
- Tyson saves himself from the ocean. In the book, Rainbow the Hippocampus saves him.
- The sheep appear to be regular sheep. In the book, they were much larger and ate smaller creatures similar to piranhas.
- Percy and Annabeth dress in sheep skin to hide among the sheep. In the book, they hung underneath them.
- Annabeth's interaction with Luke via Iris message is made up for the series. For that matter, Luke doesn't appear at all during the events on Polyphemus's island.
- Much of the action took place outside of Polyphemus's cave, while the series changes it to being mostly inside.
- Annabeth gets swatted away by Polyphemus. In the book, she was dropped on her head by him.
- Tyson does most of the fighting with Polyphemus. In the book, Percy and Clarisse manage to get a couple of good hits in as well. Not only that, but Tyson hits Polyphemus in the head with a boulder that sends him falling into a chasm. He later comes back to throw rocks at the heroes as they sail away, but is never seen again afterwards. In the series, Tyson takes Polyphemus over a cliff and tells Percy that he won't be bothering them anymore.
- The group use the Fleece on Annabeth before taking her back to the Queen Anne's Revenge. In the series, Luke takes her after using the Fleece and the group chase after him with the Hippocampi.
- In the book it is Percy who puts the Golden Fleece on Annabeth. Here he is stuck in the cave and hands Luke the fleece to heal Annabeth.
Trivia[]
- The title comes from the fifteenth chapter of The Sea of Monsters, while the episode adapts that chapter, chapter fourteen, and partially chapter sixteen.
- Tyson is shown learning how to breathe underwater just like how Percy did in season one.
