Norman Tokar was an American prolific director and occasionally writer and producer of several television and feature films and found his greatest success directing over a dozen films for Walt Disney Productions, such as The Happiest Millionaire, Follow Me, Boys!, Snowball Express, The Apple Dumpling Gang, and The Cat from Outer Space.
Tokar began his career acting on Broadway in shows, like The Magic Touch, The Life of Reilly, Delicate Story, and See My Lawyer. He later moved to directing with television shows, like The Bob Cummings Show, The Donna Reed Show, The Tab Hunter Show, Leave it to Beaver, and Naked City.
His only non-Disney directorial feature was the 1974 adaptation of Where the Red Fern Grows.
