"Not in Nottingham" is the fourth and final song of Disney's 1973 animated feature film Robin Hood. It takes place in the rain and with the citizens of Nottingham in jail. It was sung by Alan-A-Dale (Roger Miller).

Mumford & Sons covered the song during their sessions with Daytrotter.

A short reprise is sung off-screen by Alan-a-Dale when Friar Tuck is taken to the jail by the Sheriff of Nottingham.

Lyrics[]

Every town...
Has its ups and downs...
Sometimes ups...
Outnumber the downs...
But not in Nottingham.

I'm inclined to believe,
If we weren't so down,
We'd up and leave,
We'd up and fly if we had wings for flyin'...
Can't you see the tears we're cryin'?
Can't there be some happiness for me?
Not in Nottingham.
