"OMG Issue #1", written onscreen as "OMG!", is the fifteenth episode of the Disney Channel and Marvel Animation series Moon Girl and Devil Dinosaur.

Synopsis[]

Lunella uncovers the history of the Original Moon Girl as she struggles to thwart a powerful villain's plan to use her portal for evil.

Plot[]

In flashback, the original Moon Girl destroys the original version of the portal generator. In the present, Lunella is attacked by armored men she has dubbed "Bee-Men" due to their yellow suits and their logo resembling a beehive. After she and Devil defeat and round up several of them, they are greeted by S.H.I.E.L.D. and agent Maria Hill who are also wondering who they are. She gives Lunella her number in case she needs help before taking the men away. Lunella and Devil return to the lab where, along with Casey, they realize that the original Moon Girl belonged to this mysterious organization. She shares this information with Hill, but before they could interrogate the captured agents, they are broken out by a mysterious individual.

Lunella has a fright at Roll With It when she encounters a strange man with a tattoo of the organization on his wrist. Lunella rushes back to the lab, only to find someone has broken in and Devil sleeping. The person turns out to be Mimi, who not only knows that Lunella is Moon Girl, but that she herself is the scientist that Lunella looked up to. Mimi and the man, known as Maris Morlak, were scientists for the Enclave and developed the portal generator. Their superiors attempted to edge them out of their own creation, but Morlak activated it, causing an otherworldly creature to come and kill everyone, sans Morlak and Mimi. Morlak lost his sanity, forcing Mimi to flee.

Mimi heads upstairs when a Enclave agent breaks in and Lunella is confronted by Morlak and more agents and she and Devil fight them while Mimi protects the rest of the Lafayettes who remain blissfully unaware. Devil is severely beaten and is ordered by Lunella to destroy the generator before collapsing, while Mimi is overpowered. Morlak captures both Lunella and Mimi before planting a bomb in the lab. As they are being driven away in a truck, Lunella breaks free, but Mimi chooses to stay to face the consequences. Lunella skates back to the lab to rescue Devil, but before she makes it, the bomb goes off, leaving Lunella devastated.

Trivia[]

On April 12, 2023, the episode was released early on Disney+.
This episode reveals that Mimi's name is short for Miriam.
This episode introduces The Enclave led by Maris Morlak, who in the comics was Lithuanian. They battled the Fantastic Four, Doctor Strange and Hulk and were responsible for the creation of Ayesha and Adam Warlock. This is their first sppearance in an animated show.
Mimi and Morlak studied under Professor Kirby, a nod to Jack Kirby.
This is the first episode in the series to be multi-part.
Hill calls the Enclave soldiers "Iron Man wanna-bees".
