Trevor's older brother visits, and Kiff and Barry think he's the coolest.
Plot[]
Kiff and Barry want to watch the movie Four Is a Crowd, but it has an OP-15 rating for "complex literary plot devices", meaning they need an older person to accompany them. Noticing Trevor standing at the tram station, the two greet him. Trevor explains that he is there to pick up his older brother Hobart, who is coming home from college for the weekend. Surprised to learn that Trevor has a brother, Kiff and Barry ask to meet Hobart. Trevor advises them that Hobart is "a little weird", but agrees to introduce him to them on the condition that they treat him nicely.
Hobart's tram arrives, and Kiff and Barry are shocked by how cool Hobart looks. While Trevor suggests that they should all hang out at home, away from public view, Barry mentions that he and Kiff need somebody older to watch Four Is a Crowd with, so Hobart offers to take them to the movie. At the Table Town Mall cinema, Hobart's cool demeanor impresses everyone, but Trevor still thinks that Kiff and Barry are only pretending to find Hobart cool. Kiff and Barry join Hobart in buying snacks before the movie starts, leaving Trevor alone in the theater to guard their seats. When they return after an unusually long time, Kiff explains their absence by quipping that they "were just letting the raindrops fall on us", an in-joke between the three which Trevor does not get.
While watching Four Is a Crowd, Trevor notices that the film's plot is playing out exactly in real life, leading him to believe that Hobart is trying to steal his friends. Later at the food court, Hobart enters himself, Kiff, and Barry in a promotional raffle whose prize is a three-seater "thrandem" bicycle like the one seen in Four Is a Crowd. After Kiff and Barry call Hobart "the best", Trevor reaches his breaking point and walks off to orchestrate a plan to humiliate Hobart as revenge for stealing his friends. However, he is overheard by Kiff and Barry, who realize that they have been neglecting Trevor all day and worry that Trevor might end up hurting Hobart.
Hobart is announced as the winner of the raffle and called on the raffle stage to accept his prize. Unable to find Trevor, Kiff and Barry fear Trevor's reaction to the news. Suddenly, heavy steps are heard approaching the food court, and Trevor reappears, wearing hidden metal stilts to make himself taller than Hobart. Trevor confronts Hobart onstage for stealing his friends and takes Hobart's shades, but he is unable to snap them in half like he planned. Puzzled by the situation, Hobart takes the shades and easily breaks them himself. Feeling humiliated, Trevor runs off in tears, leaving behind the napkin on which he illustrated his plan. Hobart picks it up and sees Trevor's drawing on the napkin.
Kiff and Barry get onstage and deliver a speech of their own, telling Hobart that out of consideration for Trevor's feelings, they can no longer "be best friends and transfer to your college and hang out all the time." In response, Hobart says that he was only hanging out with the duo because of their friendship with his brother. Putting on a new pair of shades, he also notes that he is just naturally cool toward everyone, then leaves to find Trevor.
Trevor returns to the tram station and tries to book a ticket to Antbarctica just like the main character of Four Is a Crowd, but is told that the tram only services local destinations. After imagining himself walking all the way to Antbarctica, Trevor hears Hobart's voice and snaps back to reality, finding himself with Hobart at the tram station. Trevor admits that Hobart is the cooler sibling, but Hobart tells Trevor that he never intended to steal Trevor's friends – noting that he still does not even know Kiff's name – and that he just wanted to spend a fun day with Trevor. Hobart confesses that he thinks Trevor is much cooler than he was at Trevor's age, pointing to Trevor's drawing as an example of Trevor's assertiveness. The brothers share an embrace, and Hobart gives Trevor one of his many pairs of shades.
Later, Hobart takes the tram back to his college, seen off by Trevor, as well as Kiff and Barry, who earlier attempted to drive the three-seater bicycle to the tram station, only to crash into the bushes. Kiff, Barry, and Trevor ride off into the sunset together on the bicycle, but it falls over.
