Wanda, we are usually so much of the same mind. But right now... What aren't you telling me?
Vision to Wanda Maximoff

"On a Very Special Episode..." is the fifth episode of the Disney+ streaming television miniseries WandaVision and was released on February 5, 2021. It was written by Peter Cameron & Mackenzie Dohr and directed by Matt Shakman.

Synopsis[]

Wanda addresses Vision's worries when he grows suspicious of the neighbors' strange behavior.

Plot[]

The time period is now the 80s and Wanda and Vision are trying to quell Billy and Tommy's crying. Agnes arrives to see the couple and helps them with sitting before awkwardly missing her cue, which only Vision seems to notice. He pulls Wanda over to talk to her once again about the strange happenings that have been going on recently, but she feigns any knowledge. They realize that the twins have stopped crying, but as they go over to check on them, they discover that they have already aged into five year olds, which Agnes does not seem too bothered by.

Back at the S.W.O.R.D. base, Monica recuperates and informs her superiors about what she has learned. While Hayward takes Wanda as a threat seriously, Monica, Woo, and Darcy all realize that Wanda is hurting inside. Hayward shows footage of Wanda breaking into a secure facility and taking Vision's corpse. While analyzing the data they have received, Monica learns that her clothes, that had changed with the times, retain their molecular makeup and plan to send a drone back into Westview so that they can make contact with Wanda.

In Westview, Billy and Tommy find a dog and name him Sparky. After Wanda and Vision inform them that they have to be ten years old in order to take care of them, Billy and Tommy age themselves up with Agnes once again indifferent to their actions. While at work, Vision gets a message from S.W.O.R.D. and uses his powers to awaken Norm who does not know how he got there and asks for help. While talking to the boys, Wanda spots the drone and destroys it before leaving the bubble (dubbed the Hex by Darcy) and threatens S.W.O.R.D. to leave her and her family alone.

The commercial break is for a brand of paper towel called Lagos and depicts a family making accidental spills, "but didn't mean to".

Sparky, who had run away earlier, is found by Agnes and apparently died choking on her Azaleas. The twins demand that Wanda bring him back to life, but she claims that she cannot. Later that night, Wanda and Vision talk where the latter informs her that he is well aware that she is in control of Westview. Wanda attempts to "cut to credits", but Vision angrily demands answers as what is happening. The doorbell rings, but Wanda claims that that is not her doing it. As she answers it, she discovers that it is her brother Pietro - played by a different actor. Darcy, watching from base, is confused by the "recast".
