Once Upon a Snowman is an upcoming Frozen midquel short film released on October 23, 2020 on Disney+. It takes place during Frozen and before Frozen II.

Plot

The short follows Olaf's journey after he was brought to life by Elsa during Let It Go. His first steps will take him through the snowy mountains of Arendelle and he will discover why he loves summer, before meeting with Anna, Kristoff & Sven. It happens in between the events of the film from when Elsa created Olaf to when he meets Anna, Kristoff and Sven in the forest. It is a Disney+ Exclusive.

Trivia

• This is the second Olaf short since Olaf's Frozen Adventure and the third short to be based on Frozen, the first being Frozen Fever.
• This is the second Frozen production not to be released in November.
  • It is also the second Frozen short not to have been directed by Chris Buck and Jennifer Lee. The first was Olaf's Frozen Adventure.
