"Operation Groovestar" is the first segment of the seventy-first episode of Miles from Tomorrowland. It premiered on March 26, 2018 alongside "The Suit Pursuit", and is the first segment of the seventeenth episode in the third season.

Plot[]

Mission Force One is riding their respective space jets to do some tricks. After great training, Miles tells the team to head back to the Zenith. However, the Nemesystems stormship appears, forcing Mission Force One to reverse course. Their space jets get caught in trap beams, and the team is forced to abandon their jets as they get stolen by Nemesystems. Miles says that that means Mission Force One's new mission is to get their space jets back from Nemesystems.

In the stormship, Aggro tells Commander Nemex that they stole the space jets, with Nemex stating that it feels rather good to win one against the TTA. This gives Aggro an idea: to bring together a small, but very villainous crowd, and show off the space jets as proof of Nemesystems' power over the TTA. Everyone will be so excited, they'll want to join Nemesystems. Nemex likes the idea. Aggro knows how to put on a show.

Sometime later on the Zenith, Miles ends his call with Lieutenant Luminix and tells Mission Force One that the stormship is heading to the Kepler Cafe on an asteroid for some big party. The thing is, that whole area has been taken over by Nemesystems, and even if Mission Force One can sneak past the strikeships, no one gets into the Kepler Cafe unless they have an invitation. Miles says that there would never be a Nemesystems party without live music. Loretta assumes that a performer would be let in and he could sneak the team in. Miles says that it isn't just a performer, it is the biggest superstar in the galaxy, Bootjet Groovestar.

Once Mission Force One meets him, they thank him for agreeing to help them sneak into the Kepler Cafe, as that is the only way to get their space jets back. Bootjet reveals that he already booked the gig at the Kepler Cafe, and everyone attending is expecting him and his roadies, which would be Mission Force One. The team disguises themselves to be as funktacular as Bootjet.

They then head to the Kepler Cafe, where they meet a nemetron. He lets Bootjet in, while his roadies are not on the list. Bootjet decides to go perform somewhere else when Aggro tells him to perform for the crowd. Bootjet decides to do so, and sneaks his roadies in. Aggro tells Bootjet that after the latter's song, Nemex has five surprises for the crowd, which will be coming up from below the stage. Aggro tells Bootjet to keep his performance to just three minutes long, as Nemex is eager to take the stage.

After being told by Aggro, Blodger says that it is gooptastic, but quickly changes it to groovetastic, to work for Bootjet. Aggro assumes that he should have been a roadie. Miles assumes that the five surprises is Mission Force One's space jets. The team decides to get them during Bootjet's song, and afterwards, they will be on stage in front of everyone. Loretta also sees a stairwell that goes underground to the space jets.

Bootjet begins his performance to the crowd. With two and a half minutes until Bootjet's song ends, Mission Force One heads towards their space jets. Nemex assumes that the crowd is enjoying this. Aggro says that soon, they'll have all kinds of new members working for Nemesystems. Mission Force One then takes down striker bots. They make it to their space jets just as the song ends, causing them to head onto the stage.

After the song ends, Nemex thanks the crowd for joining him tonight, as he has five surprises for them, those that will prove just how powerful Nemesystems has become. Nemex mentions about Mission Force One not stopping Nemesystems from stealing the space jets when the jets appear with Bootjet's "roadies". Bootjet wants the crowd to hear another song, and when Mission Force One hides, Miles, after being told by Bootjet, decides to sing the team out of the Kepler Cafe.

Mission Force One and Bootjet perform their song about getting out of the mess and into a groove. After Miles plays his trumpitar, the team takes off their disguises. Nemex notices this, and attempts to seal all the exits. Mission Force One then enters their respective space jets after Miles throws a layer onto Nemex. The team and Bootjet then exit the Kepler Cafe through the top entrance, completing the mission. In the cafe, Nemex tells the crowd not to leave, as the day draws near where Nemesystems will rule the galaxy. Aggro sees the instruments Bootjet left behind and attempts to start a band, but he produces a bad sound.

Bootjet decides to autopilot his starship out of the Kepler Cafe. He congratulates Mission Force One for getting the space jets back. Although he left his instruments behind, Bootjet has plenty of extra instruments on his starship. Bootjet and Mission Force One then play an encore on the Zenith. Miles thanks Bootjet for all of his help. Bootjet tells Miles to never underestimate the power of the funk.
