"Otin" is the fifth episode of the Disney+ series Iwájú.
Synopsis[]
Kole discovers the truth about Tola's pet lizard, Otin, a robot created by her dad, Tunde, to protect Tola. Kole and Tunde team up to find and rescue Tola. Otin tracks down Tola, and leads Kole and Tunde to Bode's hideout. As Otin struggles with power issues, Tola's two rescuers are taken prisoner by Bode and his accomplices.
Plot[]
Otin explains her creation and function to Kole and asks to know where Tola has been taken. Not having a clear answer, Sunday gets up and runs away, but Otin follows closely behind. Tunde arrives and picks up Kole. While angry at the danger he brought Tola in, he hears his story and about his mother and the situation they are in.
Tola continues to play into Bode and his crew's favoritism, while trying to plot her own escape, though she is immediately caught by Happiness. Sunday arrives and explains what happened, unaware of the fact that Otin has successfully followed him. As they put Tola back in her room, Bode explains that Kole has been working for them this whole time. Otin reveals herself to Tola, but tells her that she is incapable of reaching her full potential due to her low battery.
Tunde and Kole trace Otin to Bode's hideout, but are unsure of how to approach the situation. Knowing that Bode will be expecting a response soon from Tunde, Kole reveals that he has recorded Bode's prior conversations on his phone and use it to threaten Bode's identity to the public if they do not return Tola in one piece. While it intimidates Bode, he has his men go and capture Tunde and Kole.
Otin continues to try and help Tola escape, but hides when Happiness reveals that they have captured Tunde, whom they show to Tola. Kole is tossed into Tola's room, while happy at first, she immediately switches to a feeling of betrayal as both children silently stare at one another.
