Pagon is a Marvel Comics character who appears in the Marvel Cinematic Universe Disney+ series Secret Invasion. He is a Skrull who serves as Gravik's second-in-command in the Skrull Resistance.
Pagon was created by Brian Michael Bendis and David Finch.
Background[]
Not much is known about Pagon's origins, though it is possible that Pagon once had a home on Skrullos, though he was forced to flee to Earth, where he joined the Skrull Resistance.
Physical appearance[]
In his human disguise, Pagon appears as a Caucasian man with short black hair. He is also seen wearing a dark green jacket.
Role in the series[]
Shortly after a recruit named Beto joined the Skrull Resistance, Pagon oversaw another Skrull named Brogan take on the form of a human named Martin Wallace.
Sometime after, Pagon notified Gravik that Nick Fury had returned to Earth, though Pagon assured him Fury would not be a threat to their cause.
Later in the day, Pagon ordered G'iah to retrieve bags filled with explosives from a Skrull disguised as a Russian artist in order to cause an explosion in Vossoyedineniye Square, which the Skrulls would frame the United States for, helping build tension that would lead to World War III. During the bombing, Gravik sent Pagon to a location that could possibly contain the Harvest, a liquid with the ability to give the user the abilities of every being who shed blood on the Battle of Earth. However, Pagon came back empty-handed.
When returning to New Skrullos shortly after the bombing, Gravik told Pagon to continue his research on the Harvest. After a Skrull impersonating scientist Rosa Dalton said that the Harvest was not in any of the locations recommended, Pagon told Gravik that he would send multiple teams to search for it. Pagon also noted that Gravik may not be always right in his judgment.
Shortly after, Pagon, G'iah, and Beto were tasked by Gravik with saving Brogan, who had been arrested during the bombing. After arriving at their destination, Gravik and Pagon went inside the building and began firing at the guards and were able to successfully kill them. Pagon and Gravik proceeded to break down a vaulted door to the room that contained Brogan. Before leaving, Gravik asked Brogan if he had revealed any information to his captors, though Brogan responded by saying that he hadn't. Gravik then allowed Pagon to bring Brogan to the car.
Upon arriving at the safe house, the group found it surrounded by the authorities. G'iah then drove the car into the woods. There, Gravik, thinking that Brogan had revealed the location of the safe house, handed Pagon a gun, who led Brogan out of the car. Pagon then shot Brogan, killing him, and they drove away.
Following the murder, Gravik tasked Pagon, along with Beto and another Skrull named Zirksu to infiltrate the British Royal Navy in order to shoot down a plane belonging to the United Nations, which would further add to the tension building worldwide.
After their infiltration, Pagon handed the captain of a submarine an order to shoot down the plane, signed by a high-ranking officer (who is being impersonated by a Skrull). The captain was doubtful of the authenticity of the order, though Pagon tells him that if he does not launch the missile, he will be removed from his position. Reluctantly, the captain begins preparing the missile, though another order passes through, telling the captain to cancel the strike, thwarting the Skrulls's plans.
While Gravik is preparing their next attack he is approached by Pagon, who says that he believes G'iah was the mole who revealed the location of the safe house. However, Gravik tells Pagon that he already knew.
The Skrull Resistance's next attack is revealed to be against Ritson, the President of the United States, while framing Russia for the attack, sparking World War III.
As Ritson's motorcade passed through the countryside in England, Pagon and Gravik emerged from a helicopter and began firing at the motorcade. While attacking, Pagon alerted Gravik that Fury and Talos were present. Seeing Talos trying to protect Ritson, Gravik orders Pagon to deal with it. Pagon then shoots Talos, allowing Gravik to kill him. However, Pagon notes that Gravik did not kill Fury, though he could have easily done so.
Arriving at New Skrullos, Pagon shares his frustration with how the attack had turned out, as both Ritson and Fury were still alive. Pagon and Gravik begin arguing, with Gravik saying that the war would have already started if Pagon had been able to find the Harvest. This angers Pagon, who replies by saying that Gravik's actions indicate that he wants to keep Fury alive, which Gravik confirms, saying Fury has what he needs. Pagon then responds by saying the reason Gravik has little information on the Harvest's whereabouts is because Fury had never trusted Gravik, and tells the Skrull Resistance that they should not trust Gravik either. However, before Pagon is able to finish his sentence, he is impaled by an enraged Gravik with his newfound powers.
