"Paint Misbehavin'" is the eighty-fifth episode of Darkwing Duck, and the twentieth episode to air on ABC. It premiered on October 24, 1992, and is the seventh episode of the second season.

Synopsis

Darkwing is to appear as the guest of honor at a comic book convention, while Splatter Phoenix terrorizes the town by "improving" boring art.

Trivia

• This is the final animated appearance of Splatter Phoenix and Quiverwing Quack. However, Gosalyn would become Quiverwing Quack again in the "F.O.W.L. Disposition" arc of the Boom! Studios Darkwing Duck comic book, and Splatter Phoenix was eventually revived in the Joe Books continuation.
• Given that Honker was Splatter Phoenix's chief adversary in her last appearance, and was Gosalyn's sidekick in her "Quiverwing Quack" persona, it is particularly odd that he does not appear in this episode.
• Spatter Phoenix is one of the few Villains on Darkwing Duck to die the other being Major Synapse
