History[]
Will Stronghold invited his best friend Layla Williams to dinner at the Paper Lantern since she loves Chinese food, even though he hates it. Unfortunately, Gwen Grayson came over to his house and he completely forgot about meeting Layla, leaving the girl completely disappointed until she saw Warren Peace, the temperamental fellow student she knows from Sky High. Seeing how slow things are, Warren sits down with Layla and they have a decent conversation where Warren encourages Layla to profess her romantic feelings towards Will.
On the night before the Homecoming Dance, Layla breaks off her friendship with Will after hearing hurtful insults from Gwen. He asks to see her at the Paper Lantern, but she completely ignores his phone calls and messages. Seeing Warren there, they have a short conversation about Layla's feelings for him and how he behaved ever since he became a popular student. He notes that it wouldn't surprise him if his friends stopped talking to him, to which Warren comments he must have been a real jerk, because he couldn't get them to stop talking to him no matter what he did.
