Paris Johnson is the main protagonist of the Disney Channel original live-action series Saturdays. She is a roller skater and the leader of the We-B-Girlz skate crew. She is portrayed by Danielle Jalade.

Background[]

Paris is the youngest child of Deb and Cal Johnson. She is aged 14 years old. Her only sibling is her older brother, London Johnson, but they're named after two cities in Europe. She resides in Chicago, Illinois. Her best friends are Simone Samson and Ari Stevens, who are also fellow members of the We-B-Girlz skate crew.

Personality[]

Paris is known to have a tendency of doing too much with her big ideas. She always has good intentions, but sometimes it doesn't end up working out. Paris is a strong leader, as she leads the We-B-Girlz skate crew to victory in the series finale.

Trivia[]

  • It is implied that Paris has sickle cell disease, as she wears a shirt that says "Sickle cell ain't got nothing on me" in the episode, "Rollin' With Paris".
    • Sickle cell was a bigger part of Paris' character in the original pilot, as the plot of it centered around her skating to prove her doubters wrong when her disease flares up. This plotline was scrapped when it was ordered series.[1]
  • Like Harley Diaz (another non-white female lead) from Stuck in the Middle, Paris occasionally speaks directly to the audience.
