Patton Peter Oswalt is an American stand-up comedian, actor, voice actor, and writer who is best known for his roles such as Spencer Olchin in the CBS sitcom The King of Queens, co-starring alongside Charlize Theron in Young Adult, and for voicing Eldon Michaels in Batman Beyond, Specs/Spectral in Static Shock, the Toymaker and Marty Slacker in The Batman, and Theodore "Tobey" McCalister III in Wordgirl. He currently voices Francisco in The Adventures of Puss in Boots. He voiced Max in The Secret Life of Pets 2 (replacing Louis C.K.).

For Disney, he voiced Remy in the 2007 Pixar film Ratatouille, the short Your Friend the Rat, The Video Game, and Kinect Rush: A Disney/Pixar Adventure. He also voiced Professor Dementor in Kim Possible and in its live-action adaptation, Papa in Pickle and Peanut, and Franz in Gravity Falls. Additionally, he portrayed Agents Eric, Sam, and Billy Koenig in Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D.. He also voiced Hubie in Miles from Tomorrowland and Uncle Ben in Spider-Man. Additionally, he played Jerry Peters in the Once Upon a Time bonus feature "Three Who Stayed".

In one of his stand-up routines, Oswalt discusses the Spirit Cave on Redwood Creek Challenge Trail at Disney California Adventure and criticizes the use of a skunk as one of the spirit animals.
