Sir James Paul McCartney, CH, MBE (born June 18, 1942) is an English singer-songwriter, multi-instrumentalist, and composer. McCartney gained fame and success as a member of The Beatles, alongside his bandmates John Lennon, George Harrison, and Ringo Starr, and achieved continued success as a solo artist and as a member of the band Wings. McCartney is recognized as one of the most successful composers and songwriters of all time.
As an actor, McCartney portrayed Uncle Jack in the 2017 Walt Disney Pictures film, Pirates of the Caribbean: Dead Men Tell No Tales, the fifth film in the Pirates of the Caribbean franchise.
