- “Did you try restarting it? Did you try... not being an idiot?”
- ―Paul Moledebrandt[src]
Paul Moledebrandt is a supporting character in Disney's 2025 animated feature film Zootopia 2.
Background[]
Personality[]
Paul Moledebrandt is a constantly grumpy and anti-social employee at the ZPD. It is implied that he is constantly disturbed by his co-workers and thus is frequently upset at them. He also has no filter as he was very open about calling anyone an "idiot" for not following his instructions.
Role in the film[]
Paul was at his work desk when Nick Wilde accidentally tossed a soda can through the wall and into his work station. While his colleague nervously apologized for his mistake, Paul turned around to express his irritation, only for the can to rupture and spray Paul out of his seat.
Later on, Paul is on call with a citizen suffering technical problems. Clawhauser, seeking to use his computer to track Captain Hoggbottom on behalf of Nick, attempted to offer him a box of doughnuts, only to accidentally trip and get Paul stuck in a donut hole in the box, which was then taken by a passing officer, forcing Clawhauser to login to Paul's workstation with its rodent-sized computer hardware.
Paul later accompanies Judy, Nick, Clawhauser and Gary De'Snake to visit Chief Bogo in the hospital while still sitting in the doughnut box.
Paul later attends Gazelle's concert, watching the festivities, only for the soda can he was standing on to rupture, launching him into the air.
