It is sung by Minnie Mouse, voiced by Marcellite Garner, as she pushes a stroller with Mickey Mouse's nephews Morty and Ferdie Fieldmouse. The song is based on an older nursery rhyme of the same name, which dates back to the 18th century and refers to a type of porridge made from peas. It is also performed by Donald Duck in the 1938 animated short film Polar Trappers as he cooks beans in a pan on a stovetop inside a igloo that he and Goofy call home.
