"Penny and the Chibi Scouts" is the first segment of the tenth episode of the Disney Channel series Chibiverse.
Synopsis[]
Oscar Proud signs Penny Proud up for the Chibi Scouts.
Summary[]
On a perfectly normal day in the Chibiverse, Oscar Proud spies on his daughter Penny as she hangs out at Chibi Mall with the VKs of Auradon, concerned that they are putting her in danger by misbehaving and using magic around her, though Penny just wants to be friends with them. Oscar pulls Penny aside to tell her that she shouldn't be hanging out with Villain kids because of how dangerous they are, though Penny tells him that they are harmless and cool before Mal throws fireballs at him, proving his point. He then tells her that, to keep her safe and to make better, more wholesome friends, he has signed her up for Camp Chibiwaka to become a Chibi scout, much to her annoyance as she believes summer camp is for little kids.
Oscar and a reluctant Penny are welcomed to the Chibiwaka Fun & Friendship Jamboree by the Chibi Scouts, led by Molly McGee and Huey Duck, who put on a child-friendly display and describe the camp as a fun, safe and responsible place, which only makes Penny even more angry as she sees nothing fun about anything that they're talking about, which Oscar is pleased with and leaves Penny to the Scouts. After Oscar leaves, The Chibi Scouts reveal that their kid-friendly performance was just an act to fool parents into letting them come to camp, and that Camp Chibiwaka is actually about preparing for the randomness of the Chibiverse through intense survival training, which excites Penny as she begins her initiation through a series of random obstacle courses. Meanwhile Oscar realizes that she forgot to give Penny her lunch and returns to find Penny climbing The Ropes Course of Doom, where he realizes that he’s been lied to and chases after Penny to save her.
The Chibi Scouts lead Penny through a series of random and dangerous obstacles, oblivious to the fact that Oscar is following them, and while the scouts help Penny through it all, Oscar ends up getting hurt by throwing himself repeatedly into danger to save Penny. Penny eventually learns how to get through the rest of the obstacles and leads the scouts back to camp where they congratulate her by making her an official Chibi Scout just as Oscar crashes into the camp sign. As Penny and Oscar leave camp, Penny tells her dad that he was right about the Chibi Scouts and that she can't wait to come back to camp next week, but a terrified Oscar begs her not to return and gives her permission to hang out with the VKs, which Penny accepts.
The next day, Penny is back to hanging out at Chibi Mall with the VKs, and Oscar attempts to reconcile with them, hoping that they're good kids deep down before Mal throws another fireball at him.

Trivia[]
- Like "Dr. Doof's Lab", the standalone release premiered on YouTube first instead of being released with the rest of the segments.
- The end credits music for the standalone version of this episode is "Ready for Anything" instead of the theme song.
- Camp Chibiwaka is a parody of Camp Kikiwaka from Bunk'd.
- Oscar references the song Chillin' Like a Villain when describing the VKs.
- The hairstyles Evie gives Penny are the same as the ones she wears in her music video for It's All About Me.
- The members of Camp Chibiwaka each are part of a scout camp in their respective shows:
- Molly and Libby (The Ghost and Molly McGee): Wilderscouts
- Huey and Violet (DuckTales): Junior Woodchucks
- Isabella and Candace (Phineas and Ferb): Fireside Girls
- Candace's inclusion is also a nod to the Phineas and Ferb episode "Fireside Girl Jamboree".
Errors[]
- During the song "Ready for Anything", Huey can be seen without his hairstyle for a second.
- This episode ignores the events of the episode Chibi Villains Unite, where Penny and Molly have already met and become friends. According to Ben Siemon, this was due to a creative oversight on the writers' part.
