Peter Pan and Wendy is an upcoming American live-action film distributed by Walt Disney Studios Motion Pictures. It will be directed by David Lowery, with a script written by Lowery and Toby Hallbrooks.

Development

Filming for the movie was to begin on April 17, 2020 in both London and Canada, but got temporally postponed due to the COVID-19 pandemic.

In January 2020, Margot Robbie was in talks to play Tinker Bell.

In February 2020, Joaquin Phoenix had been offered to play the role of Captain Hook.

In March 2020, it was announced that newcomer child actor Alexander Molony and Ever Anderson (Daughter of actress Milla Jovovich and director Paul W.S. Anderson) were both casted as Peter Pan and Wendy Darling respectively.

In July 2020, it was announced that Jude Law will play Captain Hook as Phoenix ended up turning the role down. Adam Driver and Will Smith also declined to play Captain Hook.

In September 2020, it was announced that Yara Shahidi will play Tinker Bell instead of Robbie.

In October 2020, it was announced that newcomer actress Alyssa Alook was casted as Tiger Lily.

Filming in Canada and London will be planned on starting in March 8, 2021.
