"Phantom of the Auditorium" is the first segment of the fifty-sixth episode of Vampirina. It is the first half of the sixth episode in the third season. It premiered on October 12, 2020.
Synopsis[]
The girls meet a phantom organ player at the Monster Hall of Music.
Plot[]
The Ghoul Girls finish their performance with Demi and Gregoria watching, and they're ready for the spring concert at the Firefly Theater. They like their secret rehearsal space, as they can play as loud as they want without bothering the Scare B&B guests. Vampirina checks her spookylele, followed by Bridget for her guitar and Poppy for her drums. An organ is then heard, and they search for where it's coming from.
Bridget flips a lever, causing an organ player to appear while playing the instrument. Vampirina introduces him to her friends, and he recognizes the Ghoul Girls, as he heard them practicing. He introduces himself as Petru the Phantom. He lives under the stage, and he had to play along when he heard the Ghoul Girls performing. They like his music, with Vampirina stating Petru is talented. He once dreamed of being a musician, but behind his mask lies a terrible secret so hard to reveal. He takes it off, and the others think he looks okay. However, Petru is supposed to be scary. He used to work at the Transylvanian Opera House, where he saw all is favorite monster musicians perform, and he wanted to be just like them. Vampirina tells him how talented Poppy and Bridget are. Petru wishes he was a little bit scarier, and Vampirina tells him to share his music with the world.
Demi and Gregoria decide to search for a new look for Petru. He wants to look like Ludwig van Boo-thoven. Demi provides him a bigger cape and pops the collar. He also decides on long, shiny claws like Werewolfgang Mozart, which Gregoria searches for. Later, Demi and Gregoria place the claws on Petru. Later, Edgar is thanked for filming a video of Petru, who is now confident enough to share his music. Gregoria introduces Petru, who shows off his new look, impressing everyone. Petru's costume isn't very comfortable, but he wants to be a monster musician. However, he struggles to play the organ due to his claw hands, and makes a mess. Petru isn't cut out for this and leaves.
Demi assumes that he may have been carried away with Petru's new look, and Gregoria knows that claws and organs don't mix. Poppy and Bridget have some suggestions about no scary things, and Vampirina agrees with them about Petru being the way he is. He is already a monster musician, but he doesn't know it. Vampirina decides for her friends to make Petru understand it. After Poppy mentions it, Vampirina decides for Petru to play at a human concert, which he is unsure of at first. After the others motivate him, Petru decides to give it a try. At the theater, Petru is introduced, and performs a song about never being afraid to share who he truly is. The others join in, and the performance is a success. Petru concludes that sharing his music feels amazing, and Edgar has footage with the song, which Petru posts on the World Wide Cobweb. It gains a lot of views, and Petru tells Vampirina and her friends he's going on a musical tour of Transylvania, as he is done hiding away. Petru won't be needing his mask, as well, and thanks Vampirina for helping him feel like a real monster musician. Vampirina is glad he decided to show the world the monster he is inside.
