Jake tells the prankster ghosts what would happen if the portal to Never-Nether Land is opened, and they reveal that they got a message in a bottle from someone who needs their help, which turns out to be Captain Wraith, who plans to share his prank ideas with them when he is freed. Jake's crew and Treasure Tooth know it is a trick, and if Captain Wraith gets loose, he could let out the other ghosts.
The prankster ghosts apologize for getting fooled when Pranky reveals to have opened the gate to Never-Nether Land. Cubby reveals that Wraith tricked the prankster ghosts into stealing the spirit key. As a result, Captain Wraith appears and vows revenge on Jake and his crew before releasing the ghosts of Never-Nether Land. So, Izzy uses her Pixie Dust on Jake, who tells her to get ready to shut the portal for good while he takes care of Captain Wraith. After a chase, Jake leads Captain Wraith to the entrance of Never-Nether Land and tells him that he's been pranked when Izzy closes the portal. Captain Wraith tries to drag Jake with him, but with the help of Izzy, Cubby, Skully, and Treasure Tooth, Jake is freed and Captain Wraith gets trapped in Never-Nether Land again. Izzy then returns the spirit key to Treasure Tooth when the prankster ghosts arrive and they go to free Peg-Leg Peg.
