"Pirate Fools Day!" is the first segment of the one hundred and seventh episode of Jake and the Never Land Pirates. It premiered on March 28, 2016 alongside "The Forbidden City", and is the first segment of the twelfth episode in the fourth season.
Plot[]
Peter Pan's shadow arrives in Neverland to prank everybody on Pirate Fools Day, including Peter Pan himself in Hangman's Tree. The shadow then trips Peter Pan up and traps him in a hammock. The shadow then leaves to prank Captain Hook while Sharky and Bones sing a song about Pirate Fools Day. Captain Hook has had enough of this, and orders Sharky, Bones, and Mr. Smee to walk the plank. They do so, but they land on one of the Jolly Roger's nets. Bones calls it the best prank ever. Just then, Peter Pan's shadow appears and trips Captain Hook up, causing him to fall in the net.
As the shadow leaves the Jolly Roger to cause more mischief, back on Pirate Island, Skully and Cubby get pranked by Jake and Izzy, respectively. Cubby decides on a drink just as confetti pops out of the cup. Just then, Bucky's set sail bell sounds, meaning it is being hijacked by Peter Pan's shadow. Jake and his crew catch up to the ship just as it leaves. Jake mentions how the shadow loves to sneak away on Pirate Fools Day and go prank crazy. After messing with Bucky, the shadow leaves. Just then, a shadow ship appears with Shade the Shadow Pirate, who is plotting to take Peter Pan's shadow. Jake and his crew notice this, and Izzy realizes what Shade is capable of doing; he snatches shadows in his magic bag, and when the sun sets, Shade and any shadow he captures disappears into his shadow world forever. Jake tells Bucky to sail to Neverland.
There, Jake and his crew follow Peter Pan's shadow, and so does Shade. Shade then captures the shadow after disguising himself as Jake and his crew. Since the real Peter Pan can't help, it's up to Jake and his crew to stop Shade. Their attempts to catch the bag of shadows fail. With sunset nearing, Jake comes up with an idea to delay sundown in order to stop Shade from disappearing into his shadow world. To do that, Brightly will buy Jake and his crew some time. Skully is told to fly to Golden Twilight Cave and bring back as many fireflies as he can to Shipwreck Beach before finding Peter Pan. Jake, Izzy, and Cubby will stop Shade, and Izzy uses her Pixie Dust to get to him.
Jake and his crew then make it to Shade. Jake attempts to take the bag to no avail, and the green flash appears, meaning that the last flare of daylight has arrived. Just then, Skully arrives with the fireflies. As another attempt of Jake and his crew getting the bag fails, Peter Pan grabs them, and decides to take care of the situation with his shadow dagger. Jake decides to pull a prank on Shade by pretending that his shadow got away. As Shade is distracted by this, Peter Pan rips open the bag, freeing his shadow as a result. Afterwards, the fireflies light Shade up from the inside out, making him vanish, as well as his ship. Peter Pan thanks Jake, stating that making the sun shine at night might be the best Pirate Fools Day prank ever.
Back on Pirate Island, Jake and his crew put the gold doubloons they collected into their Team Treasure Chest. Back on the Jolly Roger, Mr. Smee pulls Captain Hook, Sharky, and Bones back on the ship. Captain Hook, who has had enough of Pirate Fools Day, is interrupted by Peter Pan, who tells him to look behind. Captain Hook sees what he thinks a cardboard cut-out of Tick-Tock the Crocodile from earlier, but as he attempts to throw it overboard, he realizes how heavy it is. It turns out to be the real Tick-Tock, who chases Captain Hook around the Jolly Roger. Smee, Sharky, and Bones wish Peter Pan a Happy Pirate Fools Day.
