The gang and their pets are invited to a ball, but Mortimer refuses to use good manners.
Plot[]
The episode begins with the gang and their pets entering Funny, preparing for a royal ball in the kingdom of Majestica. As Funny prepares a pet grooming station for Pluto, Teddy, and Cream Puff, Mortimer enters, saying he was strolling through the forest and thought he'd stop by. The gang invites him to come with them to the Royal Ball, to which he agrees. He picks up a rock and draws a face on it, naming it Kevin. He then rudely asks the gang to groom him and Kevin, without even saying "thank you" in the end. Once the gang finishes cleaning their pets, everyone sets out for Majestica.
The group arrives to the Royal Ball, and Mortimer impolitely barges in after evading the royal troubadour. Clarabelle offers the gang snacks, but Mortimer rudely eats them all and asks for more. The gang attempts to teach Mortimer how to have good manners, but he ignores them. As Mortimer starts to dance, King Ludwig arrives, but accidentally trips on Mortimer's foot since he didn't say "excuse me". One thing soon leads to another, and the next thing everyone knows, the Royal Ball is a huge mess. Angry that Mortimer refused to show good manners and ruined the Royal Ball, King Ludwig announces the Royal Ball to be off and that Mortimer should be permanently banned.
The gang makes Mortimer understand that his bad behavior ruined the ball for everyone. Mortimer apologizes to King Ludwig and politely asks him to reconsider cancelling the ball for everyone. King Ludwig agrees on the condition that Mortimer takes steps to correct his manners, which Mortimer agrees to. Everyone then enjoys the ball. Later, the gang and Mortimer return to Funny. The episode ends with Funny producing a souvenir to remember their trip and Mickey and Minnie waving goodbye to the viewers.
The episode and title is the center to that of manners.
This is the third episode of the series where Mortimer Mouse joins Mickey & the gang on an adventure, the first being "Maybe I'm A Maze" and the second being "Seas the Day!".
This is the first time the characters are made strict in the series. They never got like that in the other episodes.
