"Pluto's Best" is the sixteenth episode from the first season of Mickey Mouse Clubhouse. It originally aired on Playhouse Disney (now Disney Jr.) on September 22, 2006.
Summary[]
Pluto and Butch, Pete's dog, compete for a trophy by playing a variety of games.
Plot[]
The episode begins in the Clubhouse with Mickey greeting the viewers as he tells Pluto to perform tricks for the Doggy Games. They see Pete training his bulldog Butch outside. Pluto is worried that he won't win the games but Mickey encourages Pluto to try his best. Mickey then goes to the Mouse-ke-doer to pick up his Mousketools: a lifesaver, yellow balls, and the Mystery Mouseketool.
The Doggy Games are underway, with Pluto and Butch being the only contestants. The first round is juggling, but Mickey realizes he forgot to bring something for Pluto to juggle. He calls Toodles for the yellow balls and Pluto juggles all seven of them successfully. Butch tries to juggle seven blue balls but fumbles the first six upon receiving the final, giving Pluto victory of the first round. The next round is a race, which Butch wins. Donald disguises himself as a dog to play, but Daisy calls him out. The third round is hurdle jumping, but Pluto gets distracted by a butterfly and runs away. The audience calls to Pluto to come back, but he's too far away to hear them. Mickey calls Toodles for the Mystery Mouseketool, which is a whistle, allowing him to effectively call Pluto back and win the round.
The fourth round is dog tricks, which Butch wins. Donald again pretends to be a dog, but Mickey stops him. The final event is doggy paddling, but Butch cannot doggy paddle and begins struggling. Pete worries since he also does not know how to swim, so Mickey calls Toodles one final time for the lifesaver to keep Butch afloat. Pluto pushes Butch to finish line, and, out of gratitude, the bulldog shares his star with Pluto. The game ends in a tie, with both dogs sharing their trophy. Everyone (except for Pete) goes into the Clubhouse and does the Hot Dog Dance. The episode ends with everyone exiting the Clubhouse as it disappears and Mickey waving goodbye to the viewers.
