The Pocket Watch is an item in Descendants: The Rise of Red. It is a watch used as a time machine, created by Maddox Hatter, son of the Mad Hatter.
History[]
The Pocket Watch was created by Maddox Hatter and kept in his room under a red cloth out of sight. After saving Red from the Crimson Army, Maddox showed concern for the princess by insisting he cared enough for her to have a future despite Red's objections, he then offered to give his invention to Red before deciding not to thinking the girl was not mature enough.
Red then thanked Maddox for being there for her only to steal the watch for herself from his pocket. Upon hearing the incoming soldiers, Maddox urged Red to escape as Red hade him do so as Maddox use a device to send Red up a tube and out of his room, unaware his invention had been taken.
After landing in her room, Red took the watch out of her jacket and examined it.
Upon arriving in Auradon after Principal Uma had invited her and the Queen of Hearts, the latter eventually started her coup. After forcibly declaring Cinderella guilty of treason, Red took the watch out of her jacket before running to Chloe, the two engaged in a fight moments before it activated and sent the two back in time.
Red and Chloe landed in the past before encountering Fay, the young Fairy Godmother, the encounter lead Red to discover the watch had worked and had done its intended purpose, something which Chloe did not believe until Red pointed out the obvious truths, Chloe then began to believe that she had to return back to their real time due to the danger her mother was in though Red insisted she had to go through with her mission of stopping her mother from becoming a tyrannical Queen causing the two to engage in a fight before eventually working together.
After finishing their mission, the two used the watch to return to the present just moments before the Queen began her coup only to discover that the latter was much nicer and no longer had a tyrannical attitude.
