"Pool Party" is the first segment of the second episode of the Disney Channel animated series Kiff.
Synopsis[]
Helen agrees to cast a swim spell on Barry if Kiff introduces her to Candle's dad, Roy Fox.
Plot[]
Candle Fox has invited her entire class to her birthday party at a water park. Kiff is excited to ride the park's 400-foot water slide, but Barry reveals to Kiff that he cannot swim. Not wanting Barry to miss out on the fun, Kiff asks their drama teacher Helen, who is a witch, to put a spell on Barry to allow him to swim. Helen agrees to perform the spell in exchange for an introduction with Candle's father Roy, a famous film and television producer.
At the party, Helen performs the spell on Barry. Barry saves Kiff a spot in the line for the water slide while she takes Helen to the VIP area to meet Roy. Kiff manages to gain entry into the VIP area by wearing a pair of sunglasses and speaking in showbiz lingo, and she and Roy hit it off. Kiff introduces Roy to Helen, who demonstrates her talent to him through an awkward dance performance. Roy surprisingly loves the performance and insists on filming Helen right away. While Helen leaves to do her makeup, Roy shows Kiff that he is actually planning to feature Helen on his new TV show Table Town's Cringiest Wannabes.
Kiff warns Helen that Roy intends to embarrass her on television, but Helen accuses Kiff of jealousy. Before Helen can be filmed, Kiff takes the camera and breaks it, prompting an angry Helen to undo the spell on Barry just as he is about to go down the slide. Kiff quickly climbs on top of Candle's ice sculpture and jumps to catch Barry before he can land in the pool. The two fall face first on the ground, while the force of Kiff's jump causes the sculpture to topple off the food table, sending chunks of ice and food flying everywhere. Roy uses his phone to film the chaotic scene.
Kiff and Barry are thrown out of the party by security and banned from the water park for one year. Meanwhile, Helen sees a trailer for Table Town's Cringiest Wannabes playing on a TV and sadly realizes that Kiff was telling the truth. Roy uses the footage of Kiff and Barry falling on the ground in another trailer for the show, which Kiff and Barry watch on Barry's phone. Helen meets them outside and hesitantly thanks Kiff. She then notices the trailer playing on Barry's phone and spots herself in the background, and becomes happy at discovering that she appeared on TV after all. As they leave, Reggie runs away from the ice sculpture's disembodied head, which is sliding toward him.
