Gabby Gomez has a cavity. She tries telling her dad that she is Gum Girl, but her dad doesn't quite understand what she is saying. Gabby's brother, Rico, is a big fan of Gum Girl and so is Natalie Gooch. Ninja-Rina comes along, and a camera crew starts recording her saving the day. Ninja-Rina's mother wants to win lots of trophies and prizes, so her mother makes the crew record Ninja-Rina. Gum Girl and Ninja-Rina are both heroes. They both fight for the golden key to the city. During their tug-of-war, the key flies over and gets stuck in the ferris wheel. They both work together to save the people in the ferris wheel, including Gabby's family, who are stuck on the ferris wheel. Gabby tells her family that she is Gum Girl. In school, Gabby writes an essay about what it means to be a hero.
