"Primate Fear" is the first segment of the seventeenth episode of the Disney Channel animated series StuGo.

Synopsis[]

COURTROOM CRISIS! Merian takes on the case of a destructive space chimp.

Plot[]

A cosmically altered chimp named Bakey Potatie suddenly lands on the island and begins to randomly attack everyone. He is captured by Dr. Lullah who plans to lock him away for his disruptive behavior. Merian arrives, claiming to be his lawyer, and wants to represent him in court. Dr. Lullah in turn is represented by Chip. Bakey claims that Dr. Lullah forcibly shoved him into a rocket for a space experimentation and that the moon altered his appearance and gave him powers. Dr. Lullah denies ever doing such an experiment, when Merian suggests that they look at some of her video footage, which Dr. Lullah ignorantly admits to having and fires Chip for Pliny instead.

Merian and Francis look through all of Dr. Lullah's tapes while Mr. Okay records his podcast. They find the launch tapes, but Bakey sneezes and accidentally slices the tape in half. Merian soon gets the idea to use the other mutants that were experimented on to help sell the idea that Bakey is just like them, which seems to win over the other mutant jurors. Francis reveals that she put the tape back together and shows it Merian, revealing that Bakey was indeed a tyrannical monkey who launched himself into space. Bakey destroys the tape before ominously thanking Merian for helping him. Merian decides to give Pliny some audio evidence from Mr. Okay.

On the last court date, Pliny uses the audio of Mr. Okay's podcast which just so happens to also have Bakey confessing to his crimes, something which is confirmed by Larry (who reveals that he has a giant ear on his back). Bakey snaps and begins going wild, only to accidentally fall into another rocket that gets launched into the air, flies around, before landing in the volcano, presumably ending him. While Merian is sad that she lost a case, she is glad that justice prevailed. Sara is then brought in for the next case, actually admitting to the crime, and causing Merian to jump to her defense as well.
