Professor R. Blauerhimmel is a pilot and member of the Society of Explorers and Adventurers.
Background
Little information is available about Blauerhimmel, having only made a few minor portrait appearances. At Mystic Manor, his portrait is on display in the queue as well as appearing in the 1899 Society meeting painting. The latter painting can also be found at Disneyland's Bengal Barbecue along with a photograph of Blauerhimmel in the cockpit of a biplane and a collection of postcards. At The Tropical Hideaway, one of the expedition paddles is marked with his name and displays a 1904 expedition on the Ucayali River in Peru. A photo of him also sits with some air mail and things on a high shelf in the Bengal BBQ eating area.
Trivia
- Blauerhimmel is German for "Blue Sky", the term Imagineering uses for early "no limits" conceptual exploration for an attraction.
