Synopsis[]
A brilliant child scientist must reconnect with her beauty influencer sister when a cloning experiment goes awry.
Plot[]
Child scientist Paris Brownlee is best friends with Caroline "CC" Coleman who is afflicted with cancer. Despite CC's claims that she is feeling stronger, Paris knows that she does not have long left to live and has been discreetly picking up traces of her DNA. Paris lives with her older sister Portia who is a media influencer and her parents Tess and Mark who are also brilliant scientists. Tess and Mark insist that Paris hang out with her sister following the death of CC two weeks prior. Paris has not told them that she has been looking for a way to clone CC and has been using the family dog Jerome to assist her.
During one particular test run, the power in the house begins to malfunction. Portia angrily barges into Paris' room to see what is happening and discovers her plan. As she messes with her computer, Portia inadvertently clones Jerome with all the dogs running about the house and some of them escaping. Paris and Portia run out to catch the clones where they both realize that despite all looking similar to Jerome, none of them act the same way such as one of them crossing a ravine that the real Jerome would never cross on his own. Portia concludes that no matter how Paris plans to clone CC she would never be able to perfectly recreate her best friend.
Paris admits that there was no one else like CC and she is unsure how she could live without her with Portia explaining that it is okay to cry about it. The real Jerome returns and Paris manages to undo the cloning process, making only one Jerome. Portia reveals a video that CC had recorded with her prior to her death where she tells Paris that even though she is gone, she will go on to make many more friends and that they will meet each other in another lifetime. Paris thanks Portia for showing her the video as they hug Jerome who suddenly displays glowing green eyes.
